In light of the decision by the Competition Appeals Tribunal in the PPI Market Investigation case, the administrative timetable will be amended. Given the Tribunal’s findings, we do not now expect to make the Order in November 2009. A revised administrative timetable will be published once the timetable for the remittal is agreed.

Barclays’ appeal against some of the measures proposed by the Competition Commission following its PPI inquiry has been upheld. The CC is now considering its next steps.
